Winter Youth Basketball League

Kindergarten – Grade 8

Winter season runs January 10, 2026 – February 28, 2026 (8 week season)

Fees:  $100/Resident  $125/Non-Resident

Registration Period: November 1, 2025 – December 9, 2025

All registrations completed after December 9, 2025 will be charged a $15.00 late fee

Volunteer coaches are always needed – Please reach out to Steve Gard at steve.gard@elginil.gov if you are interested!

Practice Schedules will be emailed to participants one week prior to the start of the season.

Sign up starting November 1st for our Winter season of youth basketball. Players will learn the skills of the game and most importantly – teamwork and sportsmanship. Each team has a 1 hour practice per week designated by the league coordinator. Practices will be held at The Centre or Harriet Gifford Elementary School, Monday-Thursday evenings between 5:30-8:30pm. Games are played on Saturdays at The Centre of Elgin. Additional days and locations may be added to accommodate more teams. Due to the size of the league, no friend or coach requests will be granted.

Fee includes reversible jersey, 8 game season, officials’ fees, and awards.

All participants registering after December 9, 2025 will be put on a waiting list. Registered players should attend the skills evaluation the week of December 15, 2025 at The Centre of Elgin; the schedule is provided below.
