
Birthday Parties at The Centre of Elgin
Availability is on a first come, first served basis. All parties must be booked with a minimum of 14 days in advance at the Main Courtesy Desk or online. Parties are held on Saturday and Sundays starting at 12pm, 1pm or 2pm and last for three hours. What is included in my birthday party fee?
- Activity of your choice (pool, sports, climbing).
- Party room for the full timeframe of your party.
- Party host on site for all parties.
- A t-shirt for the birthday child.
What should I bring to the party?
- Any food and drink you wish to serve (non-alcoholic beverages only).
- All paper products, cups, plates, napkins, silverware, and serving utensils.
- Climbing Wall waivers (for all climbing parties).
- Our party host can assist with items needing refrigeration/freezer access.
I want an easy party. What do you suggest?
- Enjoy your activity, then have cake/ice cream and open gifts in the party room.
- Consider ordering food for delivery to make things easier.
- You may also bring in any other food you wish to serve.
How long do I have the party room?
You have the party room for the entire time of your party. Your activity has a specific timeframe, but you may use the room throughout your party to open gifts and serve food.
The party rooms do not include special birthday décor, so you may bring your own decorations.
What is the role of the birthday attendant?
- Meet and greet guests in the front lobby upon arrival.
- Assist parents with party room setup and cleanup.
- Help with food service during the party if needed.
- Keep parties running smoothly and on time.
- The host assists all parties booked that day—please share any needs upon arrival.
What is the role of the parent host?
- Lead activities in the party room: serve food, cake, and open gifts.
- Handle general cleanup in the party room; clear tables of garbage.
- Remove all items you brought and leave the room as you found it.
- Communicate food-service details in the pre-party email and with your party host.
- Parents lead the sports activity in the gym if you choose the Sports Party option.
What if I need to cancel my party?
Any party canceled after 4 days of booking is charged a $100 cancellation fee.

- Activity includes: 20 children; additional children may be added for $10 each (any activity).

Food Delivery Guidance
- You may bring any food/drink you wish to serve. No alcoholic beverages allowed.
- Please supply all plates, cups, napkins, silverware, and serving utensils.
- Refrigerator and freezer access is available if needed.
- If you’re having food delivered, schedule delivery 15 minutes before your room time.
- Late food delivery will not result in additional party-room time.

PARTY DETAILS:
- Party Fees: $325/Resident $375/Non-Resident - includes 20 children
- $10 additional fee per child over 20 children
- Activity Choice: pool (2 hours), climbing wall (1 hour), sports (1 hour) activities.
- Your activity will be first in your party timeline of events.
- Parties are held on Saturdays and Sundays only.
- The fee includes 20 children including your birthday child for all parties, activity of choice, party host, and party room for the duration of your party.
- You have the party room for the entire party. The food/gifts will be the last part of your party timeline.
- You, the renter, are responsible for providing all food, drink, cake, serving utensils, and all paper products for your guests.
- Party Room capacity is 40 guests, including the children at the party. If you are looking to accommodate more guests please contact our Rental/Banquet Office at 847-531-7047 directly for alternative options.
- A cancellation fee of $100 will be charged if you cancel your party, once booked. No cancellation charge will apply if the cancellation occurs within four days of booking.
Centre Party Packages
Climbing Wall (5-12 years) Take on a challenge climbing our two-story rock wall for 1 hour. Parent waivers are required. SATURDAYS ONLY
Sports (5-12 years) You get the gym for the hour to play games, sports or just have some fun. We provide the equipment - PARENT LEADS THE SPORT ACTIVITY. Activity choices: basketball, dodgeball, soccer, football and floor hockey. Activity is one hour. SUNDAYS ONLY
Pool Party (3 years & up) Swim in our zero-depth indoor leisure pool with water slide, vortex and play feature and our lap pool with diving boards during birthday parties at this time. Your party will be scheduled during our Open Swim timeframe - you will be sharing the pool with other guests. Swim for two hours.
